Always find time to eat, exercise, and sleep. Everything else will work out.
Its part of what’s exciting about it too. Been in supply chain for 16 years. Never a dull moment. Make sure you take breaks through the day. Eat. Walk. Take a short nap. Laugh with coworkers. You’d be much more equipped to deal with what comes at you. Its all about perspective too- sometimes question what are truly emergencies. Don’t get into mindset of everything is urgent and needs to be done now.
You have to find time for yourself. The problems and work will always be there. Need to make sure your fresh and ready to go each day. Hope that helps!
Make sure you take a break for few days in between to de-stress your self ( do what you like to do other than work) and come back fresh. Most of the times these are false alarm that can be managed. Prioritize the need.
At the end, life is short..stay happy!!!
I have learned to separate between frustrating and stressful, as well as my coworkers. “Frustrating” means things outside of your control are annoying you. “Stressful” means things you can control are annoying you.
Once separated, many more problems become “it is what it is, time to bandaid and move on”.
What location you work at?
Work is going to be stressful at times that’s just a part of life. Just make sure you maintain balance and perspective. You are working to live, not living to work. For me making that mental switch was everything. I found that the best way for me to make it through was to have something else to look forward to. For me it’s getting home to my family, and May-October we have a permanent campsite we go to almost every weekend.
I try to take a step back from the situation and focus on the big picture. This helps me to identify any areas that need more attention and prioritize tasks accordingly.
I make sure to take regular breaks throughout the day to help me stay focused and energized.
Lastly, I try to practice deep breathing exercises, which helps to reduce stress and give me a clear head.
I find that taking regular breaks and refocusing on my goals helps me manage the stress of supply chain management.
Additionally, I try to plan ahead and simplify tasks so that I can work more efficiently and reduce my stress.
I make sure to take time for myself away from work to relax and recharge so that I can stay focused and motivated on the job.
