How do you answer the question: "How do you deal with challenges at work"

I would highlight perseverance, motivation, the ability to ask for help (after trying to work through it on your own), good communication, and healthy coping mechanisms.

I usually say “I face challenges head on. I follow best practices, but if those aren’t working for that particular issue, I will try something else. If I am still struggling, I reach out to a more experienced peer for advice. As I’m working through the challenge, I keep my supervisor up to date on my progress so that they are aware and can help as needed. If I feel overwhelmed by the challenge, I’ll take a walk to clear my mind. I’ve found that this approach has helped me with challenges I’ve faced in the past”

If you feel comfortable, you can include a tight example… but be careful to not get into the weeds of the details of the challenge.

Depends on the company and role I’m interviewing for. Feels like an opportunity to provide an example of how you demonstrate company values, or a key skill if “challenges” are common in the role.

What skills do you showcase in such cases

Truthfully

McKinsey & Company Hi everyone. Hope all is well.

Recently took the McKinsey & Company game (not sure if I have an interview yet but preparing nonetheless). It’s an entry level business analyst position and an entry level digital position and was wondering if anyone wanted to case prep with me. I’m willing to work on anyones time zone. (I’m located in Sydney, Australia).

Anyone from the McKinsey Los Angeles office willing to refer me and help with a couple of case prep and possibly fixing my resume?

I have an offer accepted from Elevance 125k (Anthem) and w a good team and seems that WLB would be ok. Also, Amazon hiring manager wants to interview me for a job. Is just a hiring manager int. so obvi nothing guaranteed. Salary if offered will be more than 150k. My question is should I accept the interview and see where it goes? Is it really worth it to proceed with a company like Amazon for 25k+. I live in CA so $ is imp but I do have a toddler so WLB is also imp. Both role are Sr. MGR.
