How do you come to terms with the reduced income trajectory that will happen when you exit to industry? I know it's possible to leave for industry with quite a big jump in salary, but after that salary growth seems downright stagnant. How do you turn your back on the possibility of making a million a year's a partner? I know not everyone would actually make it to partner, but still.

Did you enter a B4 as an experienced hire Consultant? What's the usual career path (couple of years and leave, get to Director and leave, make partner)

Has anybody on the more junior side asked a new firm to move out of state (where the firm has another office with the same comp) for tax purposes? Still working with the same team in the same office in state one, and okay to fly back once a week even if the “two days in office” become a thing…

I asked him flat out what his salary was when he hired on. His salary is at minimum 15% more. He’s never had a raise.
Neither one of us had any experience in this specific position but he didn’t even have experience in the field, which I did.
I requested a performance and salary review because it’s my annual review time anyway. Best way to address this? Also applying elsewhere.

I got up to 105 files. Now I hover at 85 active files in varying stages of pre lit. I asked managing partner for help and was told to settle more claims to lessen my load. Is this what people consider negative work culture?

Millennials like us always assume we’re about to get fired - I actually have been laid off in a meeting with that title.
