How do you find a job in Europe that’s willing to sponsor work permit or some type of long term work visa? I am from the US with hopes to move to EU at some point in the next decade. Any idea how I could move into a role abroad? Currently at 2 YOE as a Tech consultant + 3 YOE of Entrepreneurship.

How useful is having worked with the PE practice (deal strategy, CDDs, etc.) of a consulting firm vs any other one when trying to break into PE? I understand it's probably better to come from such units but I wanted to understand in which ways it helps. Is it actually irreplaceable skills vs understanding of sector dynamics vs pure prestige?

What is work-life balance like in big tech legal? I’m currently in house at a large multinational; I like my job and I get paid fine, with a very good WLB (40-45 hrs). I want to look into FAANG-type opportunities as they would mean a huge pay bump, and I think I’m qualified, but I have no idea about the hours, and I don’t want to substantially give up WLB, as that’s why I left BigLaw. I don’t want to be miserable again. I know Amazon is poorly reputed for lawyer WLB… what about other places?

Thanks to a lot of great self help books and therapy, I’m no longer putting work on a pedestal and I’m spending a lot more time on self care and my marriage. But, unfortunately, I am now getting withdrawals, because my body is used to the daily adrenaline of throwing myself into work.
