How do you guys feel about EY PCS tax? More so individuals and/or partnerships — anyone work on both?

I work on both, really a decent mix. Operating partnerships, investment partnerships, individuals, trusts, gift tax. I really enjoy being at EY in the PCS group. Definitely makes a difference based on what teams/clients you’re on.

Is it too late in our lives to jump into a mortgage?

So my fiancée and I are relatively late in terms of finally landing well paying jobs and being able to save money instead of living paycheck to paycheck. We’re both 36 and currently rent a 2 bedroom in NY and have a combined savings of $35,000 which she wants to use as a down payment on a condo. I kinda just wanna continue saving while renting. I also literally just started contributing to my 401K so I’m also late in the game for that too.

What do you think is a reasonable total fee for a prenuptial agreement where both parties have significant assets and there is some negotiation? What about for a dissolution with a complex asset situation and children? I had a prenup a few weeks ago that came out to $7,000 and another about $5500, and I didn’t overbill, but I am willing to write some off if that seems excessive or I am just slow. There were several negotiations on the higher priced one. (Continued…)

How much stock do you put on benefits? I have two offers with stark differences in benefits. Job 1: role I want, but benefit sucks (2 weeks paternity leave, 20% coinsurance). Job 2: role is okay but higher level and great benefits (16 weeks paternity, 0% coinsurance, 5 more days of vacation). Total comp is the same though. I wonder if I should just focus on role but Job 2 is a large company, so I can move around after 2-3 years I’d expect. Thoughts?

I interviewed for a role with the Enterprise Risk Team at EY. I told them my salary requirements were $105 k before the interview. They said it should be ok if I'm brought in as a Senior 1. After the interview, they said they want to bring me in as a Staff2 at $84k with $3k signing bonus. I'm trying to get on a call to negotiate further...do these numbers sound right to you all?
