The ad industry is represented by less than 2% of self-identified LGBTQ individuals. We're asking our fellow LGBTQ peers who have already come out to work to share their stories and to describe how being out at work has benefitted them. Record your story and upload it to tinyurl.com/come-out-to-work Stories will be collected and shared on Instagram at @ComeOutToWork by mid-June. Happy Pride!

I usually find out when they post on LinkedIn about their new job.
They don’t tell. We are working from home so after some emails left with no reply we realize that person is not with us anymore.

Monthly staff meetings, although usually everyone on their team will know and it’ll have passed through the grapevine by that point. Occasionally an all-staff email if it makes more sense with their notice period.
Usually there will be a goodbye email from the person leaving and virtual drinks with those they worked with, although there’s been a rash of people off on sick leave and not coming back recently.
After employees spoke up, we now send an all staff email. Very formal with a thank you for xyz

My agency sometimes does an email within the team, but not company wide.
Weekly company-wide email listing last days
Unless they’re fired... someone in the group will write a nice goodbye email for them. Or they’ll send a goodbye note on their last day. It depends.
Holy fuck. Some of these stories are unreal.
