S& probably more prestigious and better brand, but worse culture / WLB based on what I hear from people who work there
Id say S& is generally more reputable. Probably pay slightly more. Although as an ex client of S&, I was tbh pretty unimpressed, and I felt like like they tried to do things they shouldn’t have - as in not bring in other parts of the pwc cohort when it made sense to. But having been in consulting a few years now I guess we do that too 🤷♂️
Ive seen S& folks be very mindful of maintaining quality of their services and doing insightful analysis. Perhaps they see the Booz days as aspirational and a target to get back to...not sure if Monitor folks feel the same
Lol classy response...
Most of my peers say S& has some of the worst WLB of all strategy firms.
WLB is fine
Can’t speak to Deloitte but I’ve really enjoyed my time at S&. The work is really interesting, people are super nice, and the firm (at least my circle) have really focused on developing people. So I like the culture. WLB is variable as it is at many firms. On average I probably work 60 hours a week.
Just wanted to note that a lot of the negative comments come from outsiders so I would take those with a grain of salt
I find it weird you guys are so defensive. Every integration has it’s flaws, as do all firms. S& do some good work, but they aren’t MBB.
I think there really is very little difference other than maybe better pay by 10-20%
I’m motivated to speak up because I think there are some perceptions that just aren’t true. I’m glad to see so many of my colleagues join me in doing so.
