How does the salary and year end bonus of a corporate banking analyst and associate at a bulge bracket differ from an investment banking analyst and associate at a bulge bracket?

Currently I have offers from 2 companies (say A and B), A is paying more but I want to join B (B is paying less but better brand). Planning to ask B to match salary that A offers. Have 2 doubts:
1) Does companies actually verifies the pay that the competition is offering? (Dont want to ruin my offer with A if B doesn't match the salary)
2) Will it impact my job prospects at A if it gets to know I tried to match their offer from a competition?
