How far is too far for a weekend trip?
Was thinking of driving MTL-Boston (around 6 hours). Leave MTL Friday 12pm, arrive around 6-7pm, have the full day Saturday and leave BOS 2pm on Sunday. Is it worth it? Or should I spend more time in Boston? I feel like it’s too much time driving

6 hours is around the cap for me. I’d leave Montreal earlier to get all of Friday afternoon.

You can see a lot of Boston in 48 hours.

Plan sounds fine assuming the travel times are reflective of weekend peak traffic

I’ve done this the other way as well but agree it probably makes sense to add another day just to justify all of the driving.

like

I’ve done this before (but in opposite direction) and I think it’s definaltey doable. If you are able to leave MTL a bit earlier and get into Boston around 2pm I think it would be a bit better as you can do some daytime activities on Friday as well

East coast here. Have done weekend trips to LA and London… as long as there’s a way to get there in ~6 hrs or less.

Does anyone have a preferred car service company? I am looking for a service that can consistently provide traveler alerts such as when car has arrived, passenger is on board, trip competed, etc. across US cities. I have found a company that will do this when I book travel in NYC, but when my Professionals arrive in their destination cities the affiliates do not offer this same feature. Any suggestions? Thank you!

Hi everyone, I’m an architectural designer (from Europe) with 1.5 yrs experience. I’m working for a practice in San Francisco, full-time from the office, getting 25 an hour. It is so expensive to live here, I am struggling to make things work. Is this a normal salary for someone of my experience or should I ask for a raise? I don’t want to be greedy but it’s so expensive out here… Thank you 🌈

Reorgs are just a part of the corporate world. If you haven’t been a part of one in your career yet, then you most likely haven’t been in the corporate workforce for very long. If you have been a part of a reorg, however, how do you personally approach it? There are many factors at play, but in general do you try to establish relationships with the individuals you know will be key contributors and/or decision makers going forward? Or do you lay low and let what ever happens be/hope for the best?
