You need to set boundaries with your company and stick to it for the interview. You can get creative and say you have something already like a doctor appointment you cannot change (there are things like day of cancellation fees with doctors and such). Block the hour or whatever is needed for time to leave for the interview, conduct the interview, return for the interview. You also need to be smart about the times you provide to the HR recruiter for interviews. I recommend either the first hour of the day, the lunch hour, or the last hour of the day. Also, you need to be smart about how you communicate to the HR recruiter about why you need to reschedule. The reason cannot be because a last minute meeting came up. That shows you are not planning properly with work, which doesn't look like a good attribute to a recruiter. If it truly is urgent like a health issue or something like that then that's very different. Plan and stick to the plan. Have a back up plan.
