Hi there! Currently a Data Analytics Consultant at Deloitte who loves the healthcare space + strategy/client delivery side. I’m looking for new opportunities in the space that focuses on Health Tech or Innovation. Up for promotion as a Deloitte Senior Consultant so looking for a similar role. What percentage of your monthly pay do you invest in the stock market? Complete noob trying to get started with investing. I already max out 401k and have a rainy day find in place.

I am taking some time off before starting a new position with employer B in mid January but their insurance wouldn’t be effective until 2/1. I’m fairly new to contributing to my 401k, I see mixed opinions on Roth vs. Traditional. My informal life advisor is trying to tell me that the opportunity cost for not having the investments in the traditional 401k is greater than the long term tax benefits from contributing to a Roth 401k? I’ve always been a big saver minimum 15% to maxing out my 401k since I graduated college. I’m married to someone who thinks 6% is enough and likes $$$ cars. Other than the cars, they dont really spend money. For the married 🐠, how do you have the conversation with them that what they are doing isn’t enough? I try to guide them and say you want the $$$ cars but the salary you have won’t get there and you’re going to have to find a job that gets them the salary…. Then the fight starts.

We Indians are so poor we can't think anything else except money. Whole Fishbowl is all about YOe and Salary. No one interested about if any company doing any innovation or not. B-Tech colleges put ads with Package and Campusing only. Almost 99% Indian YouTube thumbnail is like "5 lakh to 40 lakh", "Interview Experience in bracket 50Lpa" etc.. Hardly we can see Foreign Editorial things marked with Packages.
