How is pay at Big 4/T2? Got an offer for a boutique firm with 80k base, 20% performance bonus, and a 10k signing bonus. This is for straight out of undergrad (0 YoE). Good WLB and promotion within 1.5 to 2 years to like 110k base. Aiming to live in Chicago so I feel like pay is a little low. Can probably secure offers at the Big 4 firms and maybe tier 2. Should I shop around? The signing bonus will be half after a month of not signing.

I’m a former forensic scientist that left the field several years ago. I recently received a subpoena from a case I worked and suggested to DA to have evidence re-worked by the lab or stipulation. If I am required to testify (as an expert witness), I would need to book a flight, hotel, etc. My question is this: can I ask for my requested hourly rate, travel, and hotel to be covered when speaking with DA or is that “not how this works” as the investigator put it?

Fishes need suggestions. I have been put on PIP for bad performance. I am being a part of 6 months project and project is about to complete with backend work done. I took more time for some tasks because of not knowing the technology so they highlighted that and my senior send emails to HR to put me on PIP. What should I do ? Acknowledge PIP ? Or resign? Or let them terminate me so I can claim salary of three months as fnf settlement? Getting confused, please suggest.

It would be great for his career and they are giving the 15% jump in base he asked for, however they won’t share what the target bonus amount would be. It’s an executive director position, so I would assume it’s a decent target bonus, but without that in writing it could honestly be a gift basket at the end of the year.
