I’m about to give my notice at a firm I’ve been at for the majority of my legal career. They’ve recently offered me non-equity partnership (which I’ve accepted), w equity partnership on the horizon. However, I’ve been annoyed with their way of running the business and getting between me and my earnings far too long; and I received a lucrative offer to go in-house. I’m not looking forward to their reaction and feel bad about them having to take over my docket when everyone’s very busy. Any tips?

Do you think getting SQL/Python experience is worth the extra time for financial analyst roles coming from Big 4 tax consulting? I would love to hear any advice for shifting towards the financial modeling path from accounting. Thanks!

Our annual reviews are approaching & one of my direct reports has been with us for almost six years w/ little growth. I am contracted employee in a company . I am assigned POC work .No design or document, just my manager sent a video of youtube saying that we have create similar feature . Since there is no proper documentation still manager is forcing to complete it by next week end. There are many hit and trials I am trying and giving him daily report of what I have tried and what worked and not worked. Still giving pressure.

Taking my shot in tech sales. Consulting was great experience but enjoyed the relationship and BD aspect more and didn’t see myself climbing to partner. Starting in a junior BD Rep role to learn prospecting and earn quota history. Took a big paycut for the potential future earnings as an Account Exec. Did I dun goof? Probably. But I’ll regret it forever if I didn’t take my chance now when I’m still single and young-ish.
