RE in NYC at EY? Dude every staff leaves like literally 80-90% of staff I started with left. Everyone knows they got it the worst with engagement management and culture. My old colleagues would say their floor is colder and has a diff vibe
How is the RE group at EY compared to PwC’s? Know a lot of ppl in PwC’s RE group going to EY’s RE lately.
I work with a lot of people who came from the PWC’s RE group they’re all so much happier at EY. They say that the hours and people are so much better.
EY has been getting a lot of bad press lately, so if you are a female I would definitely think twice before considering EY.
In general, EY industry groups within the tax department have little to no opportunity for advancement above Manager, as there are many many males currently in those roles and EY will only promote if there is an office need.
This is very much not true. I am a female and have never had an issue at EY and never heard of any of my friends having one either. One bad thing happened and now all of a sudden EY is labeled as being a bad place for Women. It’s just not true.
It is primarily a compliance and provision practice. Busy seasons are very busy. There are a lot of large clients, as well as medium and small companies.
While a good bunch of people; people either love it or hate it because of how busy the busy seasons are.
Brutal. Real estate tax is consistently one of the highest utilized groups in the firm.
You’ll either hate it or absolutely love it and it all depends on the teams/clients you get put on.
