How long does it typically take to go from Director to Senior Director in biotech vs big pharma?

Hi All, just sharing what on mind to vent it out from my system. Maybe with this I could gain some insights and inspiration.
I have been working as a data scientist since 2018 & have been the bread winner. I have neither been under a proper mentor nor with a team of peers from my field to help me out. I was alone and confused. I have never really got the chance to prove myself which makes me all the more depressed. I'm not sure what to do with my future, indecisive and low on confidence.

Job Titles-Levels: what are typical career levels within M&A practices at your respective companies? For example, EY-Parthenon recently rebranded the following levels. Curious if this is industry norm. Manager became “Director” and Senior Manager became “Senior Director”

I’m seriously contemplating taking a software development boot camp. For those who hire new software developers, does it make you stand out if you get your certificate from a university instead of a coding academy (like coding dojo or something)? I noticed the universities are a bit more expensive but is it worth the price to have a university on your resume or does it not really matter?

Currently a first year staff in Risk Advisory in a Mid-Tier Firm hoping to move to Big 4 for either Risk or Cyber. When would be the most appropriate time to make the change? I heard that Senior Staff in mid-tier would most likely be hired as an “Experienced Hire” in Big 4. So would it be smarter to make the move now as a first year staff since I’ll be considered Experienced Hire anyway?

I work for a late stage(ipo) start up, earlier this year we were acquired & since then they got rid of our yearly bonuses and gave us an ESOP grant.
2 RIFs later we are almost bare bones. Since we are coming up on our usual yearly evaluations many of us assumed (with multiple conversation from our managers) that pay raises and promotions were due.
In a recent All hands we found out that this year there will be no pay raises nor promotions based off merit. Is it time to jump ship?

Hi all! I’m new! I started the year off planning to save for a home for myself, then rates skyrocketed. So we’re holding off. Fast forward to the final quarter of the year and we were presented with the idea of a residential assisted living facility. The problem there is we’d still need to acquire property in order to run one. The only difference is the RAL would be a business and is already registered as such. I am project manager in clinical research industry (CRO). After earning PhD, I gave up my science dream to take a more stable job. After slowly climbing the ladders, I feel like I finally got a seat at the table. Half the days I like the hustle, but now I miss being creative. I want to take more brainstorming, decision making responsibilities but I don’t see that in the career path for PM. Career path usually goes like this- Sr PM, Director, Sr Director, and so on. But all do same work.

I am contemplating a new offer for Validation Lead role (non- managerial) at a Big pharma, with 4 years experience -post masters degree. Suggestions on what the compensation should look like ?

Negotiation in new offer: I’m moving from fully remote to fully in office (with chance of hybrid later) offer for associate director in quality in pharma for 170k base, 18% bonus and 75k equity. I’ve asked for a sign on bonus as I’m not eligible for annual next year and will be missing my current jobs bonus. I should hear tomorrow (asking for 28k). Thoughts about the offer? Should I ask for more equity or is that standard? They’re public (currently ~$20)should I get the hybrid option in writing?
