How long should I stay at a Big 4 if my end goal is practicing IP law? Starting to realize I don’t like tax law as much as I thought I would, but big 4 name is helping on the resume (I think?). Started at deloitte in august doing compliance and now I am starting to do more controversy and indirect, but not sure if I am wasting my time.

As an experienced, SHRM certified HRBP , I would just like some feedback on your opinion of the differences in the roles between an HRBP an HR Manager besides the obvious that the manager should have direct reports.
