I have a coworker who keeps spouting comparative odds and situations in regards to the safety of the vaccine. Such as: you're twice as likely to get hit by lightening than have blod clots from JJ. It's very annoying and I find it to be really inapprorpriate, maybe because it's pushy or just I find these comparative things to be a bit irrelevant. How does one handle something like that? I have an offer to start at a new firm 3rd week of January and am trying to figure out timing on when to give a two week notice. For context I’m in consulting and our current projects are wrapping up by year end/we don’t get a busy season surge. I have two weeks of PTO to end the calendar year scheduled, and am afraid if I say anything before the break they’ll cut me off before my time off. Is giving notice first thing next year the best idea given my constraints?

The pandemic took all the upside of an IB analyst life (client meetings in person, fancy trips, suit up, worshiped at networking events) and left all the juniors with the downside (long hours, monkey-like type of job, aggressive work environment).

Not that the complaints are not sort of legitimate but you may need to revise the decision-making process that led you to accept a return offer. Specially if you were looking for less hours.
