Got a job offer from Standard Chartered Bank recently. Went through 4 rounds of interview and got an email saying I’ve been selected but they said it’ll take about 2 weeks to come out with even just a verbal offer? Is this common across banks in Singapore or are they just stringing me along?

Follow up etiquette help needed! I am expecting a job offer at firm one next week or so. I am into the final phases at firm two. Would it be appropriate to email my recruiter from firm one that they are my preference but I’m far along in the process at firm two and ask for an update on where I stand (to hopefully get an offer faster)? Have an interview with a company I really want to work for tomorrow. My last job I was laid off b/c of an acquisition&recently accepted a job at a diff company b/c I couldnt afford not to. I got this invite shortly after. The place I’m interviewing at the job wouldn’t start til next year. I dont want to seem like a job hopper. Do i tell them I’m at a new role or just not bring it up? The acquisition was public so they can see Im no longer employed with the most recent work history on my resume

I recommended a candidate for hire to a manager that reports directly to me. This person is a perfect match, but wanted the manager to obviously recommend. It has to be a fit. The manager just told me my recommendation is not her top pick. I feel frustrated because as much as we talk about the position, I wonder if we are mot aligned on criteria. What do I do? Do I push more for the person I want or will I cause an issue with the hiring manager? How do I get her to see this person’s value?

What base salary/ total comp to expect for a Sr PM in Toronto in today’s market?

I was looking at PM roles only that were around $110k, one company approached me with Sr PM (title bump) at $110k. I’m getting scheduled for final interview loop next week with this company and planning to negotiate if an offer is extended from them. I did tell them that I’m at final stage with other companies so they can expect multiple offer situation from me. Advice?

I graduated last year and was working with my university until last month. I extended my STEM OPT with my university before July 5th (first year OPT expiry). I got a new opportunity right after submitting my application & I notified my change in employer (submitted updated I-20 & I-983).
Last Friday, I got another opportunity that is way better than the current one and I don't want to miss. My STEM OPT application is still under review. Would it be okay if I change my employer again. Thanks!
