You might not be able to quantify stress but at least factor in commute time if new job requires longer commute. I am looking at a job and that commute alone will cost me about $20k extra, minimum.
I think it depends on whether I like the company or not. For example, if I were only offered a 5% raise at a new company, but I hated where I was working… I would consider it. But if I liked where I was working and they only offered 5%, no, not worth it.
It really depends. If you hate your job maybe even the same salary or a paycut works. If you’re ok with your job you probably would want about 15-20%. If you’re strategic 20%+
