I work at Salesforce and I don’t have unlimited PTO 🥲
Mine offers unlimited PTO. Even though it says unlimited, I feel like there's a limit to how much you can take. I don't think you can do more than three weeks a year.
30 days of contractually fixed PTO. Must be taken. Paid sick leave maxes out after 42 calendar days and then your public/private health insurance kicks in. German norm for larger corporates.
Unlimited PTO, 3 sick days, 11 holidays.
Unlimited, but, in reality, it’s only about 25 to 30 days… Unlimited sick and paid family leave, medical emergency leave.
We also have unlimited PTO. I know that system get a lot of bad rep, but my company does actually give us a lot of leeway in cashing it in. I got to take 5 weeks off last year and no one kicked up a fuss about it.
28 days + bank holidays, unlimited sick days. This is London though, so it’s very different to USA I suppose. Minimum employers must give is 23 iirc.

Unlimited PTO plus two week long global company shutdowns in summer and winter. I average about 2-3 PTO days a month. My manager has already taken 3 weeks of PTO this year, if that tells you about our culture. She's also in Europe and I think that helps to normalize taking your PTO. She's setting a healthy example for our team, where about half of us are located in America.
On paper the PTO policy is fairly generous, but we have competitors who offer much more, also on paper.
In reality it depends very much on your LOB, location, and your individual manager, because there's a lot of discretion. Some leaders exercise discretion in different ways from others.
This is not just about PTO, it's broadly applicable to the workplace experience in this firm and many gigantic firms with federated, individually empowered leadership. It's going to be a factor in your comp and bonuses and future opportunities as well.
