There’s usually a 1 year cliff but after that yep it’s just deposited into your account and you’re free to do whatever you want with it

Oh that’s interesting. Haven’t heard of that before. Some companies do refreshers after an initial grant but not in perpetuity. That’s sweet if that’s the case though!

The good thing about Cisco is that it’s a stable company - it’s a good offer.

OP mentioned it in a comment D1
What role is it? Either way, it seems like a great offer
Congrats OP.

That’s the way it works. Google allocates your shares at the time of onboarding and releases them at your vesting schedule. You can sell the moment they’re released to you if you want.
If it’s a publicly traded company then it’s basically as good as cash. I’d definitely take it
How many YOE? Congrats!

Equity is as good as cash for companies with stable stocks. If the stock crashes, they’ll grant new equity to folks to retain them, if the stock increases you get to keep the upside.
Once you’re in your account they’re yours they can’t claw it back and you can liquidate them for cash the moment you get them.
