Depends on you and your study habits/methods but I’d say 3 weeks each if you’re committed.

likefunny

25 to 30 days full time. However I believe most should not study for more than 6 hours a day. Retention and effectiveness, at least for me, significantly decreased after studying more than 6 hours in a day. I don't think I'm unique in that.

I agree with this. Definitely atsleast this much.

like

3-4 weeks at a minimum, 6 if you have the time is the advice I got

Your plan is to study for both at the same time?

Thanks that’s what I was planning to do , giving myself 3-4 weeks at least

I just spoke with a software architect that went back to school to learn software engineering after law school because it was more lucrative and had less hours. He’s worked his way up and has the skills and authority to work 6:30am-10am and gets to work remotely. We discussed that results/outputs is better than billable time like in law and public accounting. Yet, his parents and others would view him as “lazy” but he does his job and makes a fantastic living. Time>Money and Results>Hours

I recommended a candidate for hire to a manager that reports directly to me. This person is a perfect match, but wanted the manager to obviously recommend. It has to be a fit. The manager just told me my recommendation is not her top pick. I feel frustrated because as much as we talk about the position, I wonder if we are mot aligned on criteria. What do I do? Do I push more for the person I want or will I cause an issue with the hiring manager? How do I get her to see this person’s value?

Can I submit the reapplication with the CA Board of Accountancy to speed up the retake and NTS process in case I failed? Or do I need to get my exam score first?
