An ED makes around 250k base so an MD would make around 275k+ depending on YOE and book of business. A former MD of mine was making 350k base and bonus based on book of business
Depends on your specific role of course, and what KPIs drive your bonus target, but you should expect to be between 400-500k total comp, and possibly more depending on how senior of an MD you are and the scope of your role.
Easily over $500k
Yet they are the last to go during layoffs. They should take pay cuts to save their people from being devastated after a lay off.
In consumer where you’re dealing with fancier HELOCS and personal loans - I would say $200k-$300k all in seems reasonable in HCOL city.
Commercial banking where you’re dealing with real multi million dollar businesses, $500k+
In nyc is around 500k plus bonus
