My brother is currently searching for a job as a business analyst in US. He did his masters in MIS from Texas A&M univ. and has 5+ years of experience in the field. He has been trying to get a job for over 1 year and now only 5 months are left on his F1 OPT and inspite of trying everything(asking for referrals, emailing the hiring manager, etc.), he is not getting the interview call. He is not sure whether it the resume or something else.
I would appreciate any kind of help.

I am moving from industry to consulting and have an interview in early January with one of the big three strategy consulting firms. Any tips on case interview preparation? Reading couple books
Is it not best practice to connect with the hiring manager on LinkedIn or send them a dm prior to securing the next round interview? Curious to hear what is the best way to show interest in the role and stand out without spamming or being off putting.
Should i be scared of buying a house right now? My friend sent me this video, but I’m always skeptical of YouTubers who might simplify for views, so figured I’d get some fish wisdom
Serious question. An agency partially books you for an extended period but only at maybe 20%. After signing the contract for the dates in question, the vendor they hired asks to push back their start date by a couple weeks. I sit on my hands (not totally, I have other stuff happening). Do I bill them for two weeks of doing nothing per the contract?
Any insight on BDO Minneapolis in Audit? Office culture? Work life balance? Flexibility? Thanks!

Equal Weight SPY, QQQ alternatives
Thoughts on ETFs that are equal weight maps to the S&P and the Nasdaq? Looking to slowly reduce my exposure to the market cap heavy constituents (AAPL, TSLA, etc) and increase diversity to the smaller constituents. Independence prevents me from BlackRock and Fidelity funds, so curious as to what other PwC folks are doing.
Please congratulate me . I got promoted as Rising star on fishbowl .I have earned this recognition based on my contributions to this forum.
I am a software engineer with 4 yoe. I currently work with C# basically in R&D. I have little experience in ASP.NET MVC.
I would like to know what technology should I study further for better growth. I like to code complex logic (something that is challanging).
(Note that I tried to do Azure certifications but somehow I am not interested in it.)
Any advice will be appreciated.
Looking for some new music to listen to as I work through writer's block. What's been playing in your headphones lately?
Almost 4 weeks in and my status is still wrong. It was correct for the first ~1 day and then bumped down a level. Shouldn’t be hard as all my nights last year were SPG. This is ridiculous.
Has anyone led a brainstorming / roadmapping strategy as a startup product manager? I have never done this before and haven’t seen very good examples. How do I do this successfully at a company of about 20 people where we have 6-8 engineers, some sales people, 1 designer, 1 product manager (me), and the execs? Should we have done a proper user research prior to doing this? Startup has been around for 1.5 years and I’m bringing some structure to roadmaps for the first time
Anyone in the manufacturing industry that can share what your company's cell policy is? Also, looking into how organizations handle emergency calls for their team. TIA

2.5 years into my career and idk if I hate consulting or working remote. I recently switched to a different in the last year (still remote) and I have hated it. I don’t know if I need to get out of consulting or get an in person job
I’m looking to transition into a career in consulting with a company(mbb). Will it make a difference if I end up in a T2 city vs let’s say Nyc or DC? Reason for career change is for more exit opportunities and better career progression.

Headline on front page of CNN right now: "You had one job: meet the firm behind the oscars' biggest blunder" 😐. Feel really bad for that team right now.
Embrace it! You’re a human being and being a little nervous for a few minutes in an interview is absolutely normal and anyone that’d hold that against you is an idiot you don’t wanna work for/with
Same for me, I think it’s inherent for some of us.
I just deal with it and it improves as the conversation continues.
5-10 min before the interview, do a brief practice run of an easy behavioral question like "why this firm?" or "tell me about yourself" and say it out loud, even if just the first 30 seconds of your response. Record it if you want (perks of virtual interviews). That way you can hear your own voice and adjust it as needed prior to the real thing.
Ultimately if the nerves clear up quickly in the interview though, don't think anyone will mind if you're slightly shaky in the beginning. Totally normal.
Honestly weird tip but I’ve started playing pump up music (like Up or juice lol) right before an interview and for some reason it makes me feel so much more confident hahaha
I promise it really helps 😂😂😂
Drink a warm beverage during the interview
Honestly if it's that bad just do some loud, deep vocal warmups beforehand
Deep breaths before going in and actively forcing myself to smile and act relaxed yet engaged helps me, just gotta make sure you don’t make it too obvious
I like to pace during phone interviews or any meeting that requires focus
