How steep is the learning curve in industry vs in public (audit)? How long did it take you, as someone in industry, to feel comfortable in your role?

Depends on your role and experience. It can take you a few months to a whole year to be comfortable.

Took me a year to get into the groove of it - so much to learn. There’s the institutional knowledge of the company you choose (their system, management preferences, timekeeping), billable hours (charge time), scheduled hours, the faster pace, longer hours, etc.

Did you go from industry to public, or public to industry?

Working as CAL Manager with Accenture S&C India. Offered ~GBP 76.5K (fixed plus flexi) at Manager Grade by Deloitte London.

Prior to Accenture, I have already served as S&O Manager with Deloitte India for ~1.5 yrs - so this would be my second stint with Deloitte as Manager "again".

2 questions:
1. Should I ask for Senior Mgr (AD) grade - to which they have already said NO
2. Is GBP 76.5K sitting at the lower end of M grade in Deloitte UK? What should be a good expectation for the role

Should I Go Back and Reneg? Recently I was offered a role as a Project Implementation Manager (In Retirement Services) .The salary range for Colorado residents was 65-89K.
