How do you study for the CA bar exam and work full time? I missed the passing threshold by 10 points for July 2022 and I know I can pass the February 2023 bar if I just study as much as possible. I commute an hour each way and am exhausted from law firm work by the time I'm home. How did others do it? What's the best way to form my schedule? Any suggestions/advice is helpful. I'm feeling so beat down by this exam and I'm scared I already don't have enough time to prepare given my schedule.

So I am working as a UI UX designer since Jan22. I started with a really good project (everything from the scratch) with research, knowing the user etc. The project went really well. My family and I have been looking to move to an island. My spouse works remote and can relocate at any time. My firm has an office on said island, but they don’t pay me enough to live there. How do firms calculate how much parental leave to provide, either paid or unpaid. Or do they just pick a number, like “yeah they can get to know their kid in a few weeks and I couldn’t possibly have that attorney out for 12 weeks?” I’m at a small firm, no FMLA or state requirement. First year associate in litigation offered an assistant in-house role for the construction division of a real estate development company. Asked to send an offer letter detailing my salary and benefit requirements. Don’t know where to begin. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Litigation question: plaintiff brought personal injury action in 2018. Defendants were notified that plaintiff passed away in January 2021 but plaintiff's counsel has still not filed a suggestion of death with court and does not know whether plaintiff has an estate for the case to proceed. Does anyone here suffer from bipolar disorder? How do you manage it and working in law? I see a therapist, and a psychiatrist, and am on medication, but I still have days where I wake up and I’m so depressed I can’t move. I’m working on remedying this with my doctors, but how does one approach mental health issues with their employer? I never felt the need to until I realized how much being bipolar can affect my ability to work.

What are your thoughts on this ? What are my issues here. I think the hardest one is to predict discovery. But I also think we can outsource some of this to cheeper labor and lean on our tech to not actually have to review everything.

I took that as they must mean do you carry over anything because my exact balance changes every day and my credit score once a month so I said 0.
