Take more time off from work. If your firm actually wants you to pass, they will encourage you to do so
Pro
Use your commute time to listen to sum and substance cds or Ed arufo rules recording.
Really read and understand Mary Basick's essay book.
Adsptibar every morning, 50 questions, before work. Study while your brain is fresh, not tired.
Review critically pass flashcards or quizlet for 45 mins before bed.
Take 2 weeks unpaid leave before the bar to cram it all in.
Lol I used Barbri the first time and I finished the entire recommended program. I took advantage of the barbri guarantee, as I still have a few essays I didnt complete in my first round that will be helpful for practice. But I really don't know where to fit in the time to do barbri other than weekends.
I took a month off for the bar and it was still terrible. Highly suggest taking some time if its an option.
I'm new to this firm, as I left my old firm right before bar results came out due to toxic work environment/micromanagement and an offer with better pay. I haven't accrued enough vacation time yet, but I can at least ask for my vacation time up front. Holidays 2023 will suck but that's fine. The worst they can say is no, right?
Take it as vacation upfront. Yes, that means no vacation for the rest of the year but who cares
First, I believe that the majority of the knowledge should still be in your head. Lol Second, I started early, so in November to spread it out and it helped because my dad died about a month later, so I took about a week off of studying. I also did a lot of doc review, so I studied black letter law during that time. I would study during the week from 5-10 and full days on the weekend. I don’t believe you should need the same exact study time. A little less shouldn’t hurt if you studied well the first time, which based upon only failing by 10 points, you did. I failed by like 27 for a non-UBE state. Now UBE.
Thank you and good luck! You got this. I’m sure you remember more than what you think. Lol
