Hi there, I’ve been told that Deloitte (London, UK) is going to make me an offer but haven’t heard back and it’s been over two weeks. The recruiter mentioned it would be around the “m2 grade”. Any idea what this pay range is? … I have 3 YOE working in NHS finance and have applied for a position in Risk Advisory, public sector. Curious what life at Deloitte is like? Does a work life balance exist?

You’re 23. Get wasted and wake up feeling good the next day!
I’m in the same position. Job is so boring and at this point I feel like I’m 10x dumber than I was a year ago
Glad I’m not the only one 😅
I feel the same way
I had this happen and someone told me to ask myself how I could have the most fun in my current situation. The work was boring so I just made sure I was having fun. I’d put music on and like really get into it, go for walks when I was feeling down. I just brought an element of fun and joy to my day instead of relying on my work to stimulate me. Or look for anything job
I made small changes at first; I joined a gym, did classes for it; learned to cook; found new ways to hang with friends; when that still didn’t work, realized the 40 hours I spent at work felt so unfulfilling and mind-numbingly boring, so I made a switch and specifically wanted to come to consulting bc at least I knew I’d most likely get to switch projects every couple of months plus have the opportunity to get trainings/certifications. (I also found that working remotely 24/7 was also the big problem before I made the switch, at least now I get the option to come into an office whenever I want/need and be around people, we all need that human interaction)

Here is my take on it. If you have the luxury of time because the work load isn't that much or you're just really good at it and you're on track for your promotions etc , don't go around digging yourself into a hole and believing that more work = success . Use the time you have to pick up a hobby/activity , work on something you've been putting off and maybe even try a side hustle and see where things take you. I doubt 20 years from now you'll wish that you were working even more during your 20s when you had the time to pursue/try something else.
You didn’t mention your role. Have you tried networking to get on special projects of interest? Is there anything of interest to you on the job? If not, start looking elsewhere.
OP, It seems that would be easier given all that you’ve shared here.
Does the job light you up? Is there another position you can apply for internally?
