Please who knows about the advisory practice within the PwC financial crime unit (Canada Acceleration Centre)? I understand it is a client non-facing advisory role. Would it be a good career decision for someone coming from GRC firms like Kroll, Control Risk or Exiger? I made a couple errors at a new job. An important document to be distributed had wrong information on it, which was proofread by 2 other people. Then a couple of typos in emails, the person micromanaging me told me to send out but I didn’t fix the errors. Failed to meet a deadline but completed 95%. I was written up over all this last week, fired this week. There’s a lot more to this but I think it’s because the DM doesn’t like me.

Does anyone become more jaded towards their company / being in consulting by being on this app / seeing what is posted in their company bowl? I feel like this is the place to talk about things we typically wouldn’t talk about in the larger workplace setting (which is great, don’t get me wrong), but can’t help but feel that this app definitely helps me see the ugly side (more so than the nice side) of consulting.
