“Haggle over precise wordings of communications” lol. My boss literally reamed me out for addressing an email as “Hey team” instead of something more professional like “Hi all”.
Ruined my day lol
As someone who is currently part of several teams outside of work that mean immensely more to me than the teams inside work, I can say that I only use "hey team" when I want to convey a feeling of solidarity, cooperation, and unity.
If someone doesn't want that conveyed, they are not fostering the right kind of team.
It seems like the us government has adopted this for their agencies...
