H ow to switch domains from R2R to FPNA as someone who is a Chartered Accountant having two years of experience in R2R and two years at a CA firm? Most of the companies want an individual who have atleast 5 years of experience in FP&A. Its a vicious circle. If anyone has any suggestions kindly help me out 😄

I am in a bit of a good/bad spot. I have worked at Salesforce for close to a year as a consultant. They want to bring back travel to 50%+ post Covid and I am not feeling that motivated to be away from my family that often. I'm a relatively junior data engineer (2yoe), the only other engineer (senior) that trained me left about a 6 months ago and I negotiated a nice raise for the extra responsibilities.

My performance reviews have been stellar, but my manager is starting to look to hire a senior to help me deliver projects as we do lack capacity right now.

I feel like I might be missing an opportunity to ask for a promotion and hire a junior instead.
