How is the culture/WLB at EY Cyber in London? Any big differences to the other Big 4? Seeing a few openings on their website and just wanted to understand if it’s worth exploring them...
Does anyone work for Gartner consulting. Recruiter reached out to chat about associate partner role. What does that role equate to at the big 4 and what’s it like working for Gartner? Culture etc.
Does PwC have an "up or out" culture in the Advisory practice? How long does the firm typically expect you to stay at Manager
Currently in Dubai. Totally burned out and tired of the modern slavery work culture here. Planning to make a move to one if the peaceful nordic countries. Am considering Finland. Heard pay wise these countries are not that great. Anybody with Finland experience, please help me know how the place and the lifestyle is.
Recently, as you probably know, Dr. Seuss's estate chose to stop printing a few of his older books that had offensive racial stereotypes. There was huge backlash from white people, including teachers here, screaming "cancel culture!" Now we have a white guy who murdered eight Asians in custody, unharmed; while the police officer who killed an African American man for allegedly trying to pass a bad check is about to go on trial. Full disclosure: I'm white. But I'm still enraged by all this. You?
Unpopular opinion: I am so done with the woke culture and woke people. I am a millennial and I am all for the causes they defend but the culture in of itself has become a parody.
How do you (personally) weigh compensation vs. factors like good culture/team/interesting work? I am underpaid but like everything else about my job. Is this just a nagging feeling I need to dispel?
I am curious to know what current or former HH'ers think about the work culture in the office at both Boston and NY? Am I the only one in NY who thinks everyone is unhappy here? How is it in Boston?
Of the conservative moral panics, I feel like cancel culture was more interesting than CRT. Cancel culture at least offered a variety of thing to talk about.
How is the culture of AWS professional services? Is it stressful like Amazon in general? And do people leave early and frequently?
What is Oliver Wyman’s culture like?
Looking to pivot into AI product management roles in HC startups with good culture and potential for growth (progression or company outlook) - any recommendations? TIA!!!
Anyone been working at TikTok/ByteDance to give feedback on WLB. Any weekend work? Any asian pacific calls after 6pm? Any calls on Sunday night? Weekend emails? Please advise on internal culture.
Besides FANG what other tech companies would you apply to? The actual job function isn't as important to me. I just want a change in work culture.
Curious how other companies have been approaching bringing back their culture during COVID/RTO? Very biased but OW’s done an amazing job of reemphasizing our culture by blasting money at events (in-person!) and trying to do more co-location for teaming. Feels like the pre-pandemic days again
Is any one know about CGI how is the culture environ ment good to work there or not for 5 year professional.
How do I tell my coach that my depression and crying half the day is why my utilization is lower than expected :( she set up a meeting for tomorrow and I have anxiety
Okay if you’re applying to other places and don’t want anyone to know, who the hell do you put down for a reference?
Can we use work phones abroad? I am taking a vacation but need to take a client call around the same time I land at destination. Can I just dial in to the call business as usual assuming It’s 1 hr?
Dumb question but if I’m taking PTO Friday-Monday, is my end time at 12AM on that Monday or Tuesday on outlook?
It’s interesting to see a lot of sales people want to learn about OTEs but nobody asks about quotas related to OTEs. Most companies make OTEs look attractive and then demand massive quotas and only 20-30% of people hit goals. I’m curious to learn about marketplace commission rates. What’s your quota target? What’s your commission % paid on every dollar up to 100% ? And what’s offered in accelerators above 100%?
Don’t have us board the damn plane delta when everyone knows damn well that you are going to taxi out onto the tarmac just to sit there for a few hrs. I could be sitting at the bar!
I know I’ve made it because I’m in my Lyft on my way to ORD and Karma Chameleon comes on the radio.
Any working mothers here? Trying to figure out how to balance work and motherhood - enjoy the work and travel but want to be there for my kid as much as possible - and they grow up so fast. Don’t make
3 years in consulting + 2 years in mba + 2 years in consulting + exit into F500 live happily ever after. Does it ever seem...a little boring? Like just walking down a path
I can honestly say that working from home these last few years has been the best thing that’s happened to my career as a producer. I never realized how distracting being in an office was. Now, I actually can focus on bidding, scheduling, reviewing contracts, and all of the stressful parts of production WITHOUT having to factor in code switching and a commute. I left my agency producer role for a fully remote producing role and I’m just….thrilled. Anyone else refuse to go back to office? 😩
Shoutout to delta first class for bringing me 5 vodka sodas ina sub4 hour flight Didnt want to do work anyway
Is McK hiring Digital people ?
How much better are your exit opportunities once you become a manager? I’m currently a senior consultant and on track to make manager next year. Have a couple of offers in my hands contd
I made final round of interviews at Amazon several months ago but didn’t get an offer because I wasn’t willing to relocate. Now that Amazon is allowing remote work should I reach back out? And if yes, how? They said in their closing correspondence to let them know if my circumstance changed. Do I mention I have a new job or since it’s only been 5 months don’t mention? TIA
Thoughts on the agency 21GRAMS? Feels sketchy?
Hi all, I am in discussion with TCS for salary negotiation. They are offering less CTC than the offer in hand. They are waiting for my confirmation to release the offer. Now, I am thinking to ask them to provide me onsite assurance(not now but at least in 6-12months), so as to compensate for the ctc difference. I know that account has onsite opportunities at my band. Is it a wise thing to ask the manager to give me onsite assurance in written so as to compensate for the CTC ?
Remote work opportunities? I'm looking for firms to look into. Currently in health. I think this will be disruptive (given we can't be on site... and my firm isn't used to delivering remotely).
