Do companies have a blacklist file?
Hey fishes, i am thinking of applying to Boston Consulting Group London offices, (already have contract with ACN but joining date got pushed back to late 2023 ☹️) and was hoping someone from BCG could take a look at my CV to give me their opinion.
Profile: Robotics Engineer with a Business masters, and a self-taught Data Analyst (currently working freelance/online as DA)
Thank you!
Ps: I might post this once again later in the week in hopes of getting help, so apologies in advance.
They don't want to train anyone. They need, "hit the ground rolling."
Same, but you know... "it's not our turn yet."
I’ve heard one issue is that the influx of laid off tech people are willing to take the open positions for entry level money. So companies are able to get experienced hires on the cheap
I applied for a role that I got through 4/5 rounds of interviews but they ultimately went with the more experienced individual because they needed someone ready to go right away and not spend the time training myself for a few months to get there.
They told me to continue developing my skill set and apply back within a year or two because they still liked me but ultimately it came down to experience.
Hiring is there but you’re gonna be beaten by more experienced applicants for the most part.
For this company it was, they invest in training people for the role before they begin work.
Other companies this position may require 2-3 year’s experience.
I had experience but not the type they were looking for.
