It’s a vibe.
I got a remote L6 SWE offer at Google but the RSUs are too low for that level ($625k over 4 years), could not negotiate it higher. Suggest you schedule a consultation with your clinic’s genetic counselor. You need to have this same genetic screening testing on your partner.
This is a situation where other people’s anecdotes are not going to be translatable to you. Ensure that your partner get tested and follow up with a genetic counselor.
Your partner needs to have the same testing. If your partner is negative for these, then it’s likely not an issue! If your partner is also positive, then the genetic counselor will guide you through options.

For some genetic variations, even if the partner is negative, there’s still a chance that the kid would be impacted. So definitely talk to your genetic counselor. You might wanna consider doing IVF because you can test the embryo focusing on these DNAs.
You should have a discussion of your results with the counselor… make sure you ask all your questions. Fwiw I was a carrier for a few things that my husband was not so it wasn’t an issue, so no need to get worked up until you have his results and your screening convo.
Ok thank you!
As long as your partner isn’t a carrier for any of the same, you’re good.
