Is there a stock component im missing discussing with the recruiter?

About last layoffs, we didn't do any layoffs it's cost adjustments mostly in operation centers and restructure due new growth model. 🤷‍♂️

I am a Product Owner with 4+ YOE. I have been in my current role for 4 months and have continuously found that this role and company are not the right fit for me. Looking back on everything they said during the interview process it turns out that the culture, product and role are not aligning with anything we discussed. Reorgs are just a part of the corporate world. If you haven’t been a part of one in your career yet, then you most likely haven’t been in the corporate workforce for very long. If you have been a part of a reorg, however, how do you personally approach it? There are many factors at play, but in general do you try to establish relationships with the individuals you know will be key contributors and/or decision makers going forward? Or do you lay low and let what ever happens be/hope for the best?

I’m up for a promotion at work and I have no idea how much to ask for since it’s not a standard position. Currently I’m a team lead and manage about 8 technicians, my promotion will be to a regional service delivery manager, and I will be managing over 30 in 3 locations. I went from a tier 1 engineer in managed servers to team lead with about a 10k increase in salary.I’m thinking about a 15k increase this time from 65k to 80k. I don't like my job, the responsibilities and tasks aren't right for me or my lifestyle.

Key positives for my current employer are pay and security. But my new role within the company isn't working for me, and ultimately I don't think it is for the company either.

A much much smaller (20 people) company offered me a role.

With the global economic situation as is, is it worth the risk to change to a job I know i'd like more with less pay, and potentially less job security?

Probably for jobs outside of FAANG - more like when you're feeling out the place. To me it matters a lot in terms of experience of it but also because it tends to show how forward thinking the company is.
