Huge fan of this timer from Thermoworks. It’s fantastic for long cooks.

Nice! I really like Thermoworks, I have the pen thermometer and the dot alarm one and I don’t know how I managed before them. And a lot of it is at really good prices too! Might have to get this next, nobody has any respect when I set a microwave timer and it always gets cleared off! 😭

Dang that looks pretty sweet. I always rely on my phone with mixed results, I might need to look into snagging one. Any favorite recent long cooks? I'm in a bit of a recipe rut right now and could use some inspiration.

Oh nice! I might have to check something like this out. I have been relying on my phone and special cooking app designed for cooking times. It works okay, it is not perfect by any means but it is okay but I have to keep my phone closer to my cooking area than I would prefer.

Hi all,

I would like to hear out your opinions on internal salary negotiations at the back of promotion.

I'm a Business Analyst with over 10 years experience, been in the same company for the whole time, Currently, I'm below Average Industry standards by approx. 10% for my (current) role.

I have applied for internal job which is effectively one level above, meaning it would be a promotion.

I got the job, awaiting offer.

There’s no reason you have to put up with a job you hate. I spent many years working in a toxic environment with a boss who gossiped and lead through fear. He wasn’t really much of a leader but basically a foreman. And he could make my existence miserable. I admit that it wasn’t easy to find another job but the bottom line is: trust your guts. If you feel something is wrong it’s because it probably is. Don’t second guess yourself. Look for options and and fight for your mental health.
