I have 2 offers, one from JPMC ( LOB IS Consumer and Community Banking) and the other from Wells Fargo. Both are giving similar roles, and exactly same pay. Location is Hyderabad. I tried for revision of pay but it didn't work.
Could anyone help me understand which one is better to join in terms of hikes, technology used and work life balance. I have to join on Tuesday, 16 Aug.

Tough one. Assuming you don’t need to leave your current job for any reason, I suppose you could reopen negotiations by saying something like “I’ve done more research on the median salary for the role and my added value. After doing so, id like receive an annual salary of XX.” Then you say a bit about how you’ve enjoyed speaking with everyone and the role feels like a great fit.
Obviously it’s not an ideal stream of conversation but I guess the worst you could get is a decline. But usually an employer knows they’re lowballing you, and it’s not personal. They expect it
I had a recruiter reach out to me, gave them a range, didn’t hear anything for about a month and in the meanwhile my agency at the time gave me a promotion, so when the recruiter got back in touch I told them and they upped their offer accordingly. In my case it was honest but I’m sure you could tell them that and see how they react.
You could always say after interviewing and finding out more about the role, you think $XYZ is more appropriate of a salary. I’m assuming the salary conversation happened prior to finishing the interview process.
You can try just being honest and saying I shared a number that doesn’t match my value and I want to work with you and I want to feel excited/motivated/valued by my salary. I’d like x and would be very happy to take the job at that amount. Could you help make that happen?
adding onto the other comments, you can also say hey i know we talked about potential salary range earlier on but upon future reflection, i would actually need xyz in order to leave my agency (can even throw an “im up for promotion” in there)
I did the same thing recently and instead of trying to renegotiate the actual salary I said I wasn’t happy with the total compensation they offered. So I was able to get a 15% bonus, extra stock options, and some other perks instead. Honestly worked out great for me and I didn’t have to backtrack.
Genius af. I’m gonna try this 🙌🏽
