I am currently unemployed. I am actively looking for a job. Few years back I took the decision of going behind my passion. This can be a success or failure. I did experience financial failure and had to step out of it. However due to the long shift in career I am having difficulty finding a job. When you go behind your passion even if it's failure you learn a lot. I got immense experience in Leadership, Project Mgmt, Recruitment, Training, Budgeting, crisis management etc. Help me find a job.

Is it wrong that I’m just not into PE/VC? It seems to be the most desirable exit for most people that I work with. The work seems like it’s not a good fit for me but it feels crazy to pass up trying to get that amount of money when there really isn’t a realistic alternative to that amount of wealth (and I do want that amount of wealth).

Got laid off in tech corp dev making 250-300 all in. Have an offer to join a fairly new family office investment team in PE buyouts but will be a fairly significant cash pay cut vs what I was making in tech corp dev. I’ve always been interested in doing investing. All things being equal, is there better upside to take the fam office to do PE (at a pay cut for now), or go do another corp dev job? 6-7 YOE
