I am currently working on a federal project and need to travel overseas for 1 or 2 months to support a close family member during a difficult time. Is it possible to work remotely from overseas, or should I consider taking FMLA leave? Any advice would be appreciated.

Most likely the answer is no, but really depends on the federal agency and the sensitivity of what you’re working on. BUT you probably do have to report the foreign travel anyways.

Would check with your engagement team and government contacts ASAP. The rule of thumb is that foreign travel needs to be reported 30 days prior to the trip.

No one here is gonna be able to give you an answer

You should not bring federal project files overseas and work on unapproved and unprotected computer and comm devices. Definitely check with your IT and legal teams.

This is a question for KPMG HR. In addition to the federal government issues, there are work visa implications

I've heard a couple of things about how the partner pension amount @ PwC is determined, both similar in approach.

Both calculations I have heard of result in an annuity paid until death, at which point a surviving spouse (if any) receives the annuity.

The first calculation I have heard is that you get 80% of your highest earning year as a partner (e.g. If your best year was $1M, you'd get $800k as an annuity).

The second calculation I have heard is that they look at your three highest earning years as a partner, and take the second highest and you get 100% of that. (e.g if your three highest earning years were $1M, $800k, and $1.2M, you'd receive $1M as an annuity).

Is ANY of this true, or just all rumor? Any PwC partners that can chime in and explain the pension plan fact for fact? Perhaps with sample numbers?

Anyone from Embark able to tell me about some benefits you have. Like how long is Paternity leave and do you have to be with the firm for a year to use it? Also what health insurance do you have? I saw that Embark fully pays premiums but if it’s a junk insurance company then that’s not so great haha.
Also how often are you traveling / in office? Thanks!
