I am dealing with this annoying situation. I meet every promotion criteria, manager agrees I'm performing at the next level, but 2 years at the company is apparently the issue... never mind my 8 years of prior industry experience. Has anyone successfully pushed back on this and made a case for successful promotion?

Received an offer for an internal promotion and the verbal offer differed from the written offer. Specifically, the bonus verbalized was 2% higher than the offer letter. HR basically just said ‘sorry, our mistake the letter is right’. What would you do?

Should I edit the header to Rs. Xx which is below 10k hence tax exempted and stick to info as per 26AS?
