I never heard UBS retain any employee..No one is critical nowdays…even u write full microservice code from scratch u are not critical to UBS.In short ubs dont bother and they know they anyway get a replacement.Resources in market are more and jobs are less so its good to them
Blindly close your eyes and accept the Citi bank offer. Don't even turn back and look at UBS.
Hey does this also apply if o have an offer from Barclays with similar experience and salary as this guys Citi bank offer?

To reach that salary at UBS , you would require atleast 3 more years or even more. Take the offer
Thanks for the suggestions I also thinking the same. Even if they peovide a counter offer aroun 30-32 LPA And even after considering promotion i will need atleast 2-3 years to reach that salary.

1) First question to ponder upon is will UBS try to retain you or not. Do you have a critical dependency upon you that management might try consider retaining you or not.
2) What is your aspiration? More money or work life balance (if you have it in your current team in UBS) or new tech/skills to work upon in Citi.
3) If UBS retains you, what is the in hand salary difference you might get in Citi Vs UBS and that might give you a clear picture
The answer to these questions will get you an answer.
Much better at UBS as far as i know. Even after Credit Suise takover there was no blood bath

Can you please help me with the promotion hike and normal hike in UBS and cycle. I am from citi I can help you to answer your questions related to CITI.
Work life balance is really bad in citi. Be ready to work at any time and extended hours. If they pay well that means they will get so many works from you. I was also same page. Got good offer from citi so I joined but once I joined then I got to know why everyone saying citi is very bad in terms of wlb. I know money is also important but health and piece is also more important. If your priority is money then join citi for 2-3 years and then switch to another one.
There has been multiple rounds of mass firing at Citi. There is no reason given. UBS is still safer I believe. Wlb is crap. These are the only 2 reasons to not take the offer, the money part esp. Ao and AVP are almost the same. VP at Citi is more like AVP at Deutsche or Barclays.
