I am hoping to get some guidance and direction on RFE I received regarding my I-485 adjustment of status. My birth certificate has a late registration date and the USCIS is asking for a secondary evidence documentation to show name and proof of birth. One of the documents is an affidavit- my mother lives in India. My question is a) can I not provide school and university certificates and avoid affidavit and b) if affidavit is required will they accept foreign affidavits? Thank you

Did anyone else adopt the new Florida Wonders curriculum? We just adopted it this school year, and I teach 4th grade. My team and I have not found a good flow, schedule, or whatever you want to call it. We feel like it teaches too many skills in one lesson, and we are not able to truly teach anything “deep” enough for students to master. Does anyone have any insight? What do you do? Has anyone made the transition from non-profit and small firm practice to federal government, big law, in-house? I’m a special education parent attorney at a small firm and I’ve spent my legal career in the education and juvenile areas of the law working for 2 non-profits before ending up at the firm. However, I’m just exhausted, unmotivated, and and looking for a change. At this point (6.5 yrs of practice), is that type of transition even possible or am I stuck due to the practice area?

Crazy ethics issue. Client 1 has VPO against man who later becomes Client 2. This is the 4th VPO this year, previous ones dismissed.

In the meantime, State has filed rape charges against man who becomes Client 2 and A/B charges against Client 1. Client 1 also files for divorce.

Clients reconcile (which is how they both end up clients...) and want VPO dismissed, divorce dismissed, and criminal charges dismissed.

Scenario: US visa expired in 2021. Applied for a Canadian tourist visa to hopefully go for H-1B stamping in Canada once they open appointments.
Biometrics completed. Haven’t received any comm regarding my tourist visa approval. My partner already revived the visa long ago even if we allied together. Could it be because my US visa has expired? The reason I gave for applying for visitor visa was just for tourism purposes.
