I am planning to take up another job as independent contractor.
I don't know how to go about it. I understand when it comes to filing taxes I need to fill the 1099 form but do I need to open an LLC for this purpose?
Any other points or helpful tips for me, please pour in.
TIA

You received a 1099 as an independent contractor. If you pay someone, you’ll file a 1099 and provide it the individual.

You will receive a 1099 if you are paid more than $600 from a client, but you will issue a 1099 to an individual/company if you pay them more than $600. The best advice is to check the IRS website.

Talk to an accountant. You're also responsible for paying taxes IN ADVANCE 4 times a year - every 3 months. Not kidding.

Scores consider the number of accounts that are paid as agreed. Your score was impacted because the number of these accounts is too low, or because you've missed payments recently on some of your accounts.

The first rule of overemployment is dont talk about overemployment to anyone outside your house. :). Second: always protect the main job. Third: As the main job always has the priority, the Second and third jobs must preferably be contract gigs with not too many meetings everyday. Remember: another day, another dollar.

I’ve been on the bench with J1 for about 3 months. I was worried that because I couldn’t find another project, I would get laid off so I found J2, which pays more, is very meeting heavy, but I really like. I’ve kept J1 because I’m still on the bench doing absolutely nothing and getting paid. Thinking about looking for a role on a project with J1 that’s not along my career path but will allow for me to do work with no calls so that I can manage both jobs. Does anyone have experience or advice?
