People don’t move to non profit for money.
Babe the salaries are basically in the pits of h*ll 😌 - you go to a NP for the mission not the cash.
Nonprofit salaries for employees in leadership roles are publicly available. The disclosures may not have the exact salary for the role you’re targeting, but is a good barometer to ballpark what you can expect.
It’s called non-profit for a reason. You won’t be profiting
^agreed. The few ppl I know that moved to non profit/social impact moved fully knowing they were going to take a huge pay cut. Example: mbb salary from $190k down to $120k
$69,000 is a low salary to begin with. If you enter the non-profit space expect your salary growth to come to a halt. Only you can make a decision with full context, but is $70,000~ a good enough salary for you to achieve your goals/ vision in life. Over the next decade, you may move up to 90k with more responsibility and even more time expected of you: is that enough for your ideal quality of life?
