Bain & Company Can someone recommend a good starting point on how to go around solving case interviews? What frameworks should I follow? I am kinda new to case interview and want to develop skills to solve them. Any books, online sources would be really appreciable. I don’t think that’s important. You can negotiate salary after you get an offer
Yes you can. Low chance they drop you if they want you. Higher likelihood they say no then drop you completey
Agree with A1. Focus on getting the offer and then worry about the salary.
If you are in US, (which is likely as you mentioned TC in $), in first place recruiter shouldn’t have asked, and secondly you were not obligated to answer that. Given that, during salary negotiation it shouldn’t come up. Focus on getting the interviews cleared and then the next step
Yeah, no worries, we all learn from our mistakes, from next time, just ask them what’s the range they are offering for the role.
$5k is nothing...
I only asked because what happens if they come at me with $115K or something cause they thought they were giving me a 10K increase when really its only a $5K due to my mistake.
What level have you applied for? Did the recruiter give you any range?
Not sure on the level. Its Deloitte global. Im not sure how they do the levels. I used to work at EY and I was a supervising associate.
If you're in the US, it's illegal to be asked your salary...
I am in the US. I already have a job, so I wasn't thinking when I answered. I applied to this job on a whim 2.5 months ago and they just emailed/called me that I was like, you are just now contacting me?
Rule #1- if you ever feel the need to share your salary with a recruiter, make sure you give yourself a raise 😉
I'm not really happy at the moment. Looking for some change. After researching Deloitte, they seem like a cool company similar to EY.
