I called out sick last week (I actually was very sick with the flu) and came back to find out they gave my patient assignments to a newer nurse who apparently handled them great. Now my manager keeps praising her, and I feel like I'm being phased out of the good assignments. Am I being paranoid, or does calling out hurt your standing on the unit?

Great for her. Glad you are feeling better! As a manager that is her job, to team-build. Never feel bad for taking care of yourself. Be secure in yourself and your skills. There are enough of patients for everyone. Also recall what it is to be "new". I wouldn't give any thought to it, sometimes we can be our own worst enemies.

Happy Holidays!

Where I work calling off just one days means no raise end of year. Maybe they just went to support the new nurse for encouragement or maybe they like her better: it you getting paid and still have a job does it matter?

People get sick ! I mean that’s life

Be happy for the new nurse who did well. Everybody gets sick once in a while. Not much you can do about that.

It shouldn’t impact you !

Hi buddies,

Hope you all doing good. How many sick leaves were provided by cgi?? And is there any specific limit of taking sick leave with respect to financial year? Kindly clarify!

I am currently a medical biller and coder that just graduated. I am currently in an entry level position because I am still studying to get certified. I will have a year's work of exp in July and will sign a contract for another year because my boss is training me in more I don't know.

I'm wondering what the pay is for someone in my position without certification. I live with family and want to afford to move out but I am single and only make $18/hr. Is that standard or am I being underpaid?

If our mental health is not good at the moment, how do we convey it to the team? Most of the folks in my team take such things lightly and I feel weird to let them know about it. So I just have to lie and put a sick leave.
Also, even before friday ends, I start to stress about monday… and I think that is wrong. We should look forward to work and not stress about it but sadly the people around me here make me want to leave the office.
Please tell me what to dooo?

I’m looking to transition from an academic medical center to pharma or a biotech. I have about 8 years of clinical research experience overall — 7 years combined as a CRC (CRC I, CRC II, and senior CRC) and 1 year as a PM. I’m also recently ACRP-CP certified.

I’ve worked with many different industry-sponsors and CROs throughout the years, but many jobs I am applying to require experience at a biotech/CRO/pharma company. Would really appreciate any advice or referrals. Thanks in advance!

If I get the job pay will start around 120k at a large company with room for growth. If I stay in PA school I will have around 120k in debt and will probably work in vascular surgery. What would you do? It’s literally the second week of school for me, I have my 3rd interview for the job next week

What misconceptions do you think people have about social work? or therapy?
Mine is my family still believes that only "sick" or unhappy people need to see a therapist, so they don't understand why I go to one since I have a job and a family. It's oldschool thinking and pretty annoying tbh.
