Hey fishes,
I have given the interview in Hexaware and later on I got the email to fill the CAF form which is also done. Nos it's been 20 days and no call, no e-mail at all! I can see the status as offet pending.
I am on notice period and I have only 1 month remaining.
Is it like, hexaware will release the offer at the end time or something! Because I'm eagerly waiting for the offer as I don't have much time now!

The AI tools have made it horrible for both companies and applicants. Whenever we open a new post, it got flooded with AI applications so fast with candidates that are not even related. Best way to get the opportunity is networking now, find your previous connections who can directly connect you to the recruiting team and start from there.

You need to be talking to every human who knows you and asking for favors from everyone. Personal relationships are the name of the game right now.
You couldn’t be more right! Looks like everyone who is trying to get back to the industry is facing the same exact thing..
We do all homework like applying, formatting CV and everything but at the end of the day seems like there is always something missing 😅
Expanding the networking and asking for referencing is the way
I have a very good resume. I have spent 14 months sending email resumes until I stumbled across companies that preferred in person applications . I have been accepted by 2 companies out of town work and the 3rd in town company I am waiting for a interview this Tuesday.
In one day I received 2 jobs and one pending all because I was in person.
To the program administrator. I stumbled across these companies on Indeed.
I could not find a link and it said apply in person.
Sometimes the attachment does not work. So I go in person and explain that I was unable to apply for those reasons.
The union government positions flatly refused in person application.
Some companies are interested in putting a face on each application.
There are jobs out there it's just damn awkward getting one.
When all else fails. I can always work out of town.
I hear how discouraging this feels, and you’re absolutely right — seeing roles reposted months later after you’ve applied can shake anyone’s confidence. I went through something very similar about ten years ago, and that cycle was one of the hardest parts. It made me question my value even though my experience hadn’t changed at all.
One thing that helped me, and that might be worth considering, is narrowing in on one very specific niche where your background gives you a real edge. With 22 years across Homeland Security, corporate security, and large-scale campus operations, you have deep expertise that most people simply don’t.
Is there one part of your skill set — risk assessments, emergency response protocols, physical security audits, threat analysis, or security program design — that you could package and offer independently on a freelance or consulting basis? Even a few small projects can create momentum, visibility, and confidence while you continue the search.
It doesn’t replace the long-term goal, but it can put you back in motion, give you fresh examples for interviews, and remind you (and potential employers) of the value you already bring.
I have a degree in Geosciences and got many certifications from my own pocket to look more appealing but years of job searching and I get nothing. Even things I am overqualified for won’t get back to me. At one point I applied to Starbucks just for the heck of it and never got a reply. It’s not just you. My best friend got her first full time job from a connection and so did my sister. Just need a connection in my field to show up now.
It's not always what you know but who you know.
Speak to your favorite professors, or administration from college, if you knew them. Get a reference from them.
Also, any of your parents friends or work associates work who are connected.
Good Luck!
Some older people with a lot of experience in security jobs face difficulties getting responses from their applications mainly due to ageism and related biases. Employers or hiring managers may worry that older candidates will demand higher salaries, might not fit in with younger teams, or may not be as adaptable to new technologies and evolving roles.
I feel ya. Right now the job market is at one of the lowest points in history. Like you, I'm looking at moving on from my current employer too. I too have high level security experience and notice the same thing with these hiring managers. They're looking for that perfect candidate but nobody's perfect.
One thing I did that helped me move up is be open to move around geography-wise. I've moved from Indiana to Cali and now in North Carolina. With the current state of the climate it might be best to not move to another job.
DM me if you wanna talk shop.
Unemployment was at 14 percent in Buffalo in 1973.
It's 100% about who you know right now.
Yah I can say from the hiring perspective it’s a whole problem not just on the companies side. We don’t use AI a simple sorting system and our recruiters do the heavy lifting. And we are getting FLOODED with AI and fake resumes. To the point I have heard our recruiter say it was hard to find engineers or researchers. HOW and they are wonderful at what they do. But everything from the job postings to the resumes are flooded with fake and fraud. So it slows everything down. I think that battling with companies trying to be more “cost efficient“ for not want to pay what you may be worth. So by the time a true candidate comes through companies have decided to supplement another way. I’m not saying all. This is just what I am seeing and I am seriously sorry you are going through this I think many peoples advice to get conversations going directly with recruiters or hiring managers is a good way to get past the muck.

That makes alot of sense, but it gets to a certain point where you have to try to make a decision about who you're going to hire. This job market is far from being normal. Ive exhausted all of the temp agencies in my area and they never find me anything. Ive been unemployed for almost 3 months. Its not normal for it to take this long to hear back from jobs I applied to. How are people surviving out here if they're not getting hired and everyone is getting laid off??
I’m having the same issue. I have applied to so many places and nothing. I’m still applying and waitingI have 29 years experience billing & AR follow up.
Thank you
Tina
I have over 25 years of experience in IT, I have an MBA in Technology Management, and bachelors degree in computer science. I worked my way from hardware tech to CTO level.
I have driven for Uber, side jobs fixing cars, running my business for an inventory management system I built(has been extremely slow with little to no sales), buying and selling products. It’s just crazy how bad it is. Even with people from church giving me recommendations.
This whole thing of who you know is really unfair. Whatever happened to getting a job because you qualified for it? Lol. Unfortunately I don’t know many people. Not my fault as I come from a very hard upbringing. Managed to work hard to get the jobs i have wanted.
I would argue that "Who you know..." has always been the case. The thing is that when things are growing, there are more jobs than favoritism can fill. It is when 200+ people are applying to the same job that knowing the person hiring sets you apart.
Meritocracy is so rarely why people get ahead that is why they make movies about those exceptions.
I'm in the same boat. 😏 it's crazy and I guess super competitive. I know I'm qualified for the job, but I guess so are others. 🤔
My son is a recent IT grad and experiences the same thing every day. Sounds like experienced folks have the same issue as entry level.
I have over 23 years experience in security. Now when I apply for a job im told sorry you have to much exp. What the helll
AGEISM......... Im experiencing the same thing. If they can get a younger person that will work for less they will
DEFINATELY choose them!!
Your over qualified for most security jobs, age does play a part to some degree. Reliability and dependability should count for most companies. Patience and perseverance.
Start your own security business which focuses on all of your strengths. Start small. Invest in yourself. Not the "fake job" market. Stop investing your valuable time chasing after the labor market pigs and resume farmers. Twist the hell out of all your strengths and manifest those strengths into a business idea you can run with. Be reliable for yourself not for the unreliables who don't care and will never care about anyone but themselves. two can play at that game!
Problem is probably exactly the age and experience and considered too expensive?
I see many people talking about ageism at 50 but it feels nowadays it's already happening at 40
Go in person and meet with someone face to face like the good old day. Sending your resume and applying to jobs online they get thousands a da. You need something to stand out. Take your resume dress decently and make an impression with the right perso.
If you want to look like a stalker. If they wanted you to come in in person they'd ask for it.
The Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) means a lot of automated resumes clog the system. The recruiters then are scanning spreadsheets. Youre a needle in a haystack. You have to work your contacts so your resume gets pulled out of the giant pile.
