Hi Fishes, I grabbed an offer at Accenture with 12 LPA fixed for Level 9. I'm not getting a retention offer from my current company at 13.5 lpa. How do I go about a counter offer with Accenture HR? Also tell me how to approach this situation smoothly.
If HR doesn't fulfill the counter offer, is it ok to accept 12 lpa fixed for Level 9 and when will I get a hike here and how much would it be approximately?

I joined Tiger Analytics with CTC of 9lpa. When I check in greythr IT statement, it shows 7.14lpa.
In the CTC payslip, it shows 75k per month as my salary. But this month I got 61k.
I understand they deduct tax, but I feel it is too much. IDK where I'm losing the money. Can someone tell if this is normal. I'm a fresher so, IDK much about it.
Also, what can I do to pay less taxes? Any help on that?

We had a team member openly admit he was wanting to get fired so he could just get on unemployment and not have to do any work. Informed upper management he wasn’t planning to quit but also wasn’t going to do any work. He was fired with cause. You could always go this route. Good luck getting a job when the unemployment cash runs out though.
Unbelievable. You’re kidding, right? No one *wants* to be on unemployment. Not having a job/responsibilities is nice for like a weekend, but it gets old real quick. People work not just for a paycheck for the mental stimulation of doing something more than just having constant downtime. Check your privilege.

Yeah, you are kind of dick. Believe me, most would rather be working. The jobs are drying up left and right and you are sitting here complaining. I’ve been interviewing for a while and I was getting a few phones calls a week and now, I barely see one new job a day to apply for. So, woe as me.
Yo, if you are really talking about the restaurant industry you really are off your rocker. I was a cook for almost 10 years before advertising. You are gonna be in for a rude awakening when you see how many restaurants won’t be opening back up.

I guess I’m recognizing I’m annoyed w a small group of friends who have job security when restaurants open back up... a huge steakhouse in NY. And I’m exhausted trying to take care of myself, my parents, my partner, my job and such while keeping my role steady. For a second there I thought unemployment would be easier but I know that’s foolish. I have been laid off and unemployed before and know what that feels. Thanks for checking my shit that stinks... I’m ashamed and embarrassed by it but was creating tension in me to keep it in. I’m a jerk.

You’ve clearly never been laid off. It’s extremely stressful and demoralizing for a variety of reasons, not the least of which is that our country ties health insurance to our employers. Maybe you haven’t heard there’s a global pandemic.

People that bust their asses and risk their lives working in supermarkets or nursing homes make 12 bucks an hour while we make many multiples of that to unravel the mystery of why people buy a particular brand of laundry detergent.

You apply for state unemployment. The fed is increasing what you get from the state.
When I was laid off, cobra for my family was $1100/month and unemployment is taxed. At least learn basic math before shitting all over the guy. He is not making more.
First the extra $600 is through July. Highly doubtful for business to be open let alone to find a new job. And the COBRA payment for my family of 4 is $783. School tuition. Food. Rent. So after July I have 468 in UI to cover that. Do the math. Show some sensitivity. Families are devastated.

Isn’t the 1100 taxed?
Plus if they're getting that much, they may not be having taxes taken out, so they're gonna get a hefty tax bill next spring.
