I moved from commercial / corp credit after two years to advisory / consulting and just recently switched into corporate strategy / corporate development where I am very happy. Still utilize some of the old finance skillset but much more variety in terms of day to day. No special connections or additional degrees.
Following cause I’ve been rejected for all career pivot entry level jobs so far despite actually having a professional track record
There's a lot that can be done with a finance degree. You might consider changing companies, industries...I have a friend who moved from finance to fintech and is doing quite well
Should have mentioned - he now does Sales Operations. Not really a finance role.
What do you do in finance?
Are you looking to abandon finance entirely? If not, I'd say leverage that experience and industry know-how to pivot to something like fintech. Once you've decided the path you're interested in, you can then map out the steps it'll take to get you there.
