I find it intriguing that Trump turned himself into a billionaire on his father’s investments. Then, he became President. Suddenly, all of the people he’s been doing business becoming a billionaire are now also billionaires fighting for the Trillionaire Club status. His net worth is probably going to surpass them all in the end. Quadrillionaire isn’t even in my keyboard’s dictionary yet...but it will be soon.

For any of you real estate investors, what tools or sources did you learn from when getting started. Can’t find a mentor currently so want to find some highly recommended books or videos. If focused on the tri-state area (NY, NJ, Long Island mainly) that would be even better. My hope is to buy and rent out a apartment while also owning a house and house hacking that by renting part of it out. Trying to understand all the steps, traps, and how to find if it’s a good investment.

We’re looking purchasing a single family property all cash at 110k that rents for $1100 a month. The last owner bought for 35k like 15 years ago 😩 but hoping buying and holding for a few years will give a equal or greater returns over the long run.

I’m an early startup having raised a bit of money from family and friends to help grow my business. Time is moving fast and I’m potties I won’t hit my targets and being the return back to those who invested.
Once I have used the money that’s been invested there’s no way of seeing it again and still bringing the return quick enough.

The numbers still show it’s possible, I still believe in the concept and I’m still growing, I think I just have some imposter syndrome.

Any advice?

Hey, new to investing looking at initial mistakes I made. I have $1k in VOO, $7k in VT and $4k in VTI in my brokerage acct; in my Roth IRA I have $6k in VT and $7.7k in VTI. I know isn’t an ideal portfolio because many of these funds overlap. However I’m in for the long term and am willing to reposition to a strategy that will do the best over my life. Tether is a giant fraud. How do I short it?
