I get it, women in engineering are a bit of a rarity. But it feels like my coworkers don't talk around me and it's really awkward. Sometimes I wish I could just blend in

The first couple months are hard, but I do feel like it got easier for me. You get to know your coworkers once you start working on projects with them and it becomes a lot less awkward.

I've been there, so many times. It's really difficult. People probably don't realize how awkward you feel though, so it's possible that they just don't know you'd like to talk to them. Try asking someone to go get coffee with you during a break, even if it's just in the staff room, that's a good icebreaker

Hey all, what do you usually talk/share in your 1:1 meeting with your supervisor? I think I should take this opportunity to get feedback from him or share some goals and vision, other than that I feel nervous and don't know what to talk about. One of the most frustrating things is having the partner “de-prioritize” your deal. They stop responding to questions, take forever to review things you’ve sent them and act annoyed when you try to follow-up. Does anyone else experience this?

However, PCS exit opps aren’t appealing to me either: family office or wealth management. — any help or insight is appreciated.
