I get it, women in engineering are a bit of a rarity. But it feels like my coworkers don't talk around me and it's really awkward. Sometimes I wish I could just blend in

The first couple months are hard, but I do feel like it got easier for me. You get to know your coworkers once you start working on projects with them and it becomes a lot less awkward.

I've been there, so many times. It's really difficult. People probably don't realize how awkward you feel though, so it's possible that they just don't know you'd like to talk to them. Try asking someone to go get coffee with you during a break, even if it's just in the staff room, that's a good icebreaker

If an employee mentions something disparaging or accusatory about their manager during an exit interview, how would you handle? What happens if what the employee said is slanderous and a “he said/she said” situation? I.e. employee claimed the manager made a disparaging remark about an item of clothing being worn by someone in accordance with their beliefs. If you opt to share the feedback with the manager, would the manager have a legal case against the company or former employee?

Partially venting, and partially asking if this is worth sticking through: I am a junior associate. About a month ago, I made the move to a larger firm. Since day 1, one of the partners has constantly put me on the spot, quizzing me every time he calls, which gave me a lot of anxiety, but I was dealing with it. Up until recently, the same thing happened, and he yelled at me, screamed that he was pissed off, when I didn’t know the answer to one of his questions. Now he doesn’t delegate any work..
